its nice...but i'm afraid that soon the 'MHz' war is going to be 'dumbed
down' . AMD are set to start marketting their CPUs as Cyrix did....with a
'realtive' rating instead. ie lets say the 1.6GHz is equal to the 2GHz
PIV...in this case, the AMD chip is to be sold as a PIV-2GHz part...even
though its running at just 1.6GHz.... its not nice, but it'll stop the
current silly goings on. perhaps Motorola could follow suit? We'd
suddenly have 3MHz equivalents ;-)
but yes, the large jump in PPC clockspeed is certainly refreshing on the
PowerPC front sheeesh! 1.5GHz of G5 power!
